Ballet Division Families -

Above is the link for the LTM Contract and LTM calendar for the 2016 - 2017 season.  Space in the Company is limited, especially at the Junior Division level, so please turn in your contract as soon as possible if your dancer(s) wishes to participate.

Contracts and fees are due by May 15th.
Please complete and sign the attached documents and place in the designated box on Mickey's desk upstairs at LSOD.
Fees will be charged to Studio Director accounts on June 1st.  Up until this date, refunds will be given.  After June 1st, no refunds will be given.
Company placement will be posted on June 6th.

Summer 2016 – Summer 2017 Season Contract

Company Divisions:

Junior:  Dancers ages 7 and up with at least 2 years ballet experience.  Dancers must take Level II Workshop Classes over the summer.  During the fall season, dancers must take at least 1 ballet class a week. 

Apprentice:  Dancers ages 10 and up with at least 3 years ballet experience.  Dancers must take Level III Intensives over the summer session.  During the fall season, dancers must take 2 classes a week. 

Senior Division – Intermediate Level:  Dancers ages 12 and up with at least 3 years ballet experience.  Dancers must take a combination of the Level III Intensives, Intermediate Intensives, Pre-Pointe, Beginning Pointe, and Floor Barre Classes over the summer session.  During the fall season, dancers must take at least 2 classes a week, with 3 the preferred amount. 

Senior Division - Advanced:  Dancers ages 14 and up with at least 5 years ballet experience.  Dancers will be placed within the Division as either a Principal, Soloist, Demi-Soloist, or Corps de Ballet dancer.  Principal dancers have reached the advanced level at LSOD and are capable of leading a production.  They have the necessary technique, stamina, dedication, and stage presence to warrant the title of Principal dancer.  During the fall season, they take at least 4 classes a week.  Soloists and Demi-Soloists have reached the advanced level at LSOD and are ready to perform solo roles.  During the fall season, they take at least 3 classes a week.  Corps de Ballet dancers have reached at least the Intermediate Technique Level at LSOD and can perform well and in unison with small and large groups.  During the summer session, dancers must take the master classes (with permission from the Director), Two Week Advanced Intensive (with permission from the Director), and any other classes offered at the Intermediate/Advanced Level.  For those dancers not yet at this level, they will need to take the Intermediate Intensives, Pointe Technique, and Floor Barre Classes.

Dancers will need to attend 3 weeks of summer session classes and 4 weeks of LTM summer rehearsals in order to participate in the Company.  There are 7 weeks of LTM summer rehearsals.

  

Performance Opportunities:

Participation in the November 2016 production of “The Little Mermaid”.  The production will be based on the classic story (minus the really tragic portions) written by Hans Christian Andersen.  Dress rehearsal: Monday, November 7th; Performances Saturday, November 12th & Sunday, November 13th.

Participation in the July 2017 (Saturday, July 29th) production of “Ballet on the Green” at Shea Stage in front of The Bankhead Theater

Participation in community service projects: Taylor Family Foundation, Heritage Estates (December 2016), Shepherd’s Gate, and various Livermore Downtown Events.

Potential Performance:  Outdoors at Firehouse Theater in Pleasanton – March 2017

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

Dancers will have the opportunity to participate in a studio photo shoot.  There will be a $25 sitting fee for each dancer who wishes to participate.  Photo shoot dates:  Sunday, July 10th and Sunday, July 17th.

Apprentice and Senior Division dancers will have headshots taken (no additional fee) and will create short biographies to publish in a company playbill.  Junior Division dancers will take a group photo and will also create biographies for the playbill.

Film vignettes will again be a part of the company performance with LTM dancer participation.

Dancers can choose to participate in the LTM Secret Pal Game (details are attached).

Commemorative Little Mermaid LTM Company t-shirts will be given to each dancer.

All LTM Dancers will take Company classes/rehearsals throughout the summer.  All choreography for the November 2016 production will be taught during the summer.  The more classes/rehearsals dancers attend, the more performing opportunity they will be given. 

·        LTM weekday summer classes and rehearsals will run from July 25th – September 9th

o   From July 25th – August 19th:

§  Junior Division Rehearsals will be on Mondays from 10:00 am – 11:00 am

§  Apprentice Rehearsals will be on Mondays from 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm & Thursdays from        1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

§  Senior Division – Intermediate Rehearsals will be on Mondays from 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm & Thursdays from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm

§  Senior Division – Advanced Rehearsals will be on Mondays from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursdays from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, & Fridays 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

o   From August 22nd - September 9th (closed on Labor Day – September 5th):

·        Junior Division Rehearsals will be from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Mondays

·        Apprentice Rehearsals will be from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Mondays                & 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Thursdays

·        Senior Division – Intermediate Rehearsals will be from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Mondays and from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm on Thursdays.

·        Senior Division – Advanced Rehearsals will be from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm on Mondays and from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm on Thursdays.

(LSOD will open for fall classes on Monday, September 12th)  

·        Saturday rehearsals will begin on Saturday, September 10th – Saturday, November 5th from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm (Dancers will not be scheduled for this entire time frame until late October).  With the exception of high school homecoming dances, ALL Saturday rehearsals are mandatory.

·        Sunday afternoon rehearsals will be added on October 2nd and October 9th, if necessary.

·        Weekday Fall Schedule Rehearsals (beginning Monday, September 12th):

o   Junior Division Rehearsals will be on Mondays from 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm

o   Apprentice Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays from 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm

o   Senior Division – Intermediate Rehearsals will be on Thursdays from 6:15 pm – 6:45 pm

o   Senior Division – Advanced Rehearsals will be on Thursdays from 8:45 pm – 9:15 pm

Fees:

Senior Division:  $300.  This fee includes all summer LTM Company classes and rehearsals, as well as, subsequent weekday and weekend rehearsals during the season.  Also included, are one performance costume (Director’s choice), a commemorative “Little Mermaid” t-shirt, and any rehearsals associated with performances at other venues.    

Apprentices:  $200.  This fee includes all summer LTM Company classes and rehearsals, as well as, subsequent weekday and weekend rehearsals during the season.  Also included, are one performance costume (Director’s choice), a commemorative LTM “Little Mermaid” t-shirt, and any rehearsals associated with performances at other venues.    

Junior Division:  $150.  This fee includes all summer LTM Company classes and rehearsals, as well as, subsequent weekday and weekend rehearsals during the season.  Also included, are one performance costume (Director’s choice), a commemorative LTM “Little Mermaid” t-shirt, and any rehearsals associated with performances at other venues.    

·        Rehearsals and participation in “Ballet on the Green” during summer 2017 are also included.

·        All but one costume for Senior Division and Apprentice dancers will be on loan from the Company.  Costumes will not need to be purchased.

·        Summer classes (Workshops and Intensives): LTM families will be given a 30% discount on all Workshops, Intensives, and regular ballet classes.  This discount does not apply to the Two Week Advanced Intensive or the Master Classes.
